Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received a letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (KG / 1469) dated (24/6/1441 AH), and referred to in the speech of the General Authority for Food and Drug No. (19598 / P) and the date (22/6/1441 AH) Regarding the monitoring and follow-up of the safety of locally marketed cosmetic products according to the system of cosmetic products issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 49) and the date of (6/18/1436 AH), as samples were collected and analyzed of hair henna products circulating in the local markets in order to ensure their safety, The results of the analysis showed that the hair henna product named "EAGLE'S Brown Henna" contains a high percentage of bacteria that exceeded the allowable limit in the list of requirements for Safety in cosmetics and personal care No. (SFDA.CO/GSO 1943: 2016), as exposure to high levels of bacteria may cause health risks to the consumer.
Therefore, the authority emphasizes preventing the sale of the above-mentioned product and returning it to its suppliers, and importers and distributors of the product must withdraw it from sales outlets and warehouses and coordinate with the authority - the operations sector - to destroy it to avoid the issuance of sanctions.
